The canon
The world is not decorated, it is derived. Every hex gets its colour from the capability it emits, its biome from which sixth of the wheel it falls in, and its place from a spiral that starts at the centre and never repeats a coordinate. Underneath it all, every hex carries the address of a real machine.
What follows is the contract, not a description of one. The figures are read from the committed schema, the chromatic register, and the captured responses of the world server itself — and where the schema and the running generator disagree, this page shows both.
COLOR = CAPABILITY (one axis)
Hex biomes are colored by the capability/mana they emit. Languages are colorless-or-any-color: shape = role, color = the mana served.

Two capability strings are shown per colour on purpose. The first is the world generator’s own axis; the second is how the house that holds the colour names its craft. They are worded differently in the two source artifacts, and we would rather show both than quietly pick one.
The inviolable centre
The home hex (id 1, center) is inviolable — no capability may overwrite the Hearth.
The running server’s own statement of the law, verbatim
Home is inviolable. An attack cast into seamless home-ground finds no seam to open there, so the seam opens on the ATTACKER instead and the colourless solvent nulls them — the attacker becomes seam-stuff. Enforced as physics, not a guard.
Hex 1 of 1027, in Sovereign Shards Ring. Exactly one hex carries the inviolable flag. The nulling is filed as White law executed by the Colorless solvent, and it is not reversible.
Two numbers, both real
The draft-07 schema pins the honeycomb to 149 hexes by enum. The generator that actually ran emitted 1027 columns, of which 149 are the schema-contract core and the rest are the surrounding expanse it has since grown. Both figures are on this page because both are true and they do not agree.

HyperweaveGridRegistry, written against http://json-schema.org/draft-07/schema#.hex_idbiomephysical_mapping — and physical_mapping must itself carry host_nodedirectory_path. Only three fields per hex are actually required; everything else the generator adds is a legal extension.Counted in the captured world document
The honeycomb is cut into six sextants by planar angle, and each sextant is one biome bound to one colour and one guild. This is the actual census of the world that ran, not the ideal division — the sextants do not come out exactly even, and the numbers show it.
| Sextant | Biome | Colour | Guild | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | Najeela Crusade Fields | Red | Najeela | The open field, east. Speed and concurrency at the surface. |
| 1 | Prismari Performance Stage | Blue | Prismari | Where vision is rendered — diffusion, overlays, the seen world. |
| 2 | Cold Lake | Green | Omnath | Growth and ledgers. The reality lake, where what happened is kept. |
| 3 | The Beams | Black | Dark Tower Beams | West. Security and paths — the index, and the shadow it casts. |
| 4 | Underdark Caverns | Red | Najeela | Ternabrask's forge: the deep, hot engine room. Red, not colorless and not green. |
| 5 | Sovereign Shards Ring | White | Najeela | Law and compile — and the biome of the Hearth at the centre. |

The 4 guilds are not factions in a story. Each one names a pair of CPU cores it is pinned to, which is the same joke the whole engine runs on: the fiction is an addressing scheme for real hardware.
Every hex is a prism
The honeycomb you walk is one slice. Each column is a 5-cell vertical prism, and the Hearth’s inviolability holds through the whole column rather than just the surface.
Each column is a hex prism: the 4-layer planetary generation matrix is the vertical axis; the 256 register claims cells via the territorial sim's clustering CA run in 3D (deterministic). The territorial simulation reports 15861 border seams across 5135 cells — the seams are where the interesting things happen, and there are a great many of them.
The load-bearing thesis
Every hex carries a physical_mapping: a host node and a directory path. The honeycomb is not a picture of a network, it is an addressing scheme for one — the world IS the real subnet.
Transcribed from the client README
The upstream client documents its own build status, and its framing is that a canon thread with no real system behind it is theatre. That table is reproduced here rather than summarised away, because a site that presents stubs as working features is doing exactly what the table exists to prevent.

| Feature | Status | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| The server itself | LIVE | A real stdlib HTTP server with zero dependencies. Every response committed under data/api is a captured 200 from it. |
| Honeycomb geometry, count and biome enum | LIVE | Read from the real on-disk draft-07 schema, not from a fixture. Pure hex math in hexgrid.js. |
| The capability colour axis and legend | LIVE | Canon-exact, and served by /api/world so the browser never hard-codes it. |
| Controller grammar | LIVE | A real Gamepad-API read of real hardware — buttons light up when a controller is connected. |
| Four-guild roster and six-pillar subnet map | LIVE | Canon-exact roster and core pinning display. |
| Per-hex host_node / directory_path VALUES | STUB | Seeded, not yet pulled from live host telemetry. The fields are real; the values are a seed. |
| Hex fill as a reading of the emitting subsystem | STUB | The fill reflects the ASSIGNED capability. Live telemetry from the emitting subsystem is not wired. |
| Pillar status dots | STUB | A static 'known' state, not a live ping or disk-sentinel probe. The README calls a live probe the first subnet upgrade. |
| The Guide overlay | STUB | A local panel, not a live orchestrator round-trip. |
| Age Multiplier / the reward economy behind it | STUB | The input is captured; the Uplift economy behind it is not wired. |
| Hearth enforcement in the overworld client | STUB | The marker is live; enforcement is lore-only in that client. The server's hearth payload states the law as physics. |
| C++ input_controller / shared-memory input path | OUT OF SLICE | The zero-dependency client reads the browser Gamepad API instead. Upstream canon, not in this build. |
| Real-money marketplace, Cloudburst → Steel Storm as a live economy | OUT OF SLICE | North-star, hard-gated and deliberately absent. The civ tech tree is simulated resource accrual, not money. |
Status is carried by the word, never by the colour alone. Nothing in this table has been promoted from stub to live on its way onto this site; where the README says seeded, this page says seeded.
Captured, not mocked
The world server is genuinely stateful and it does not run on this site. What runs here is its recorded output: every one of these was a 200 response from a running server, captured and committed, so the site builds and renders with no backend, no environment variable and no network.
Tribe -> Cloudburst -> Steel Storm. 20 prerequisite-gated tech nodes across 3 ages, fed by 4 resources that accrue from the live biome census — Compute from Najeela Crusade Fields, Storage from Cold Lake, Code from Sovereign Shards Ring, Chip from Prismari Performance Stage. The two solvent biomes, The Beams and Underdark Caverns, produce none of them.
9 code-animals, one per capability with some doubling up: GC Grazer (Solvent), Cron-Fowl (Law / Compile), Pointer Hound (Security / Path), and 6 more. These are software concepts wearing an animal shape — a garbage collector as a grazer, a cron job as a fowl. They are not zoology, they are not counted with the real species on the cross-species page, and no page here mixes the two counts.
1.0 (2026-07-12)
Above the 6-colour capability axis sits a second, wider system: 8 colours of allegiance, and therefore 256 possible subsets — every one of them named. The two systems are not interchangeable: capability colours the land, allegiance colours who holds it.
Counted from the register file itself, not from the binomial coefficients they happen to equal.
Pole — id 000
The central spindle of the wheel where all frequencies cancel into pure structural potential. This is the Hearth column’s allegiance: no colours at all.
Pole — id 255
The complete 8-color unity where law, mind, void, fire, instinct, hearth, dream, and signal operate as a single synchronized inter-system super-organism.
Born where primaries contest
The classic capabilities are not the whole wheel. Three more are minted at the seams, each born geometrically from the two primaries it sits between — which is why the borders between sectors are the interesting places to stand.

The older five-capability table is still carried as reference: 32 subsets of the classic five, of which 7 carry a minted Hyperweave name and 25 are deliberately left null, awaiting a mint. We do not invent names to fill a table.
That is the whole argument for building the world at all: because colour is bound to capability, the laws above are meant to be legible from inside the world rather than from a page like this one. The Earth build is where you can test that claim against your own eyes.
The Earth build runs the Hyperweave client over the world document committed here, with no server behind it. Resources accrue and the tech tree advances locally; anything that would need a shared, authoritative world is held until a backend is wired.
